Optimal Sizing of a Photovoltaic Pumping System Integrated with Water Storage Tank Considering Cost/Reliability Assessment Using Enhanced Artificial Rabbits Optimization: A Case Study

In this paper, optimal sizing of a photovoltaic (PV) pumping system with water storage tank (WST) is developed to meet the demand minimize life cycle cost (LCC) and satisfy probability interrupted (pIW) constraint considering real region data. The component sizing, including PV resources WST, determined optimally based on LCC pIW using new meta-heuristic method named enhanced artificial rabbits optimization (EARO) via nonlinear inertia weight reduction strategy overcome premature convergence its conventional algorithm. WST sized regarding lack irradiation inaccessibility so that it able improve supply reliability. for extraction heights 5 10 m obtained at 0.2955 M$ 0.2993 M$, respectively, in these two scenarios calculated as zero, which means complete reliable customers proposed methodology EARO. Also, results demonstrated superior performance EARO comparison (ARO) particle swarm (PSO); methods have supplied customers’ demands higher costs lower reliability than method. during sensitivity analysis, showed changes irradiance height considerable effect ability customer demand.
